MANILA, Philippines – “Noah” stars Piolo Pascual and Zaijan Jaranilla were named ambassadors of ABS-CBN’s new campaign, “Run for the Pasig River.”
The campaign was launched Tuesday at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila with ABS-CBN Foundation managing director Gina Lopez.
“Masaya po ako na maging ambassador nitong project,” Jaranilla said.
Pascual said the campaign is a joint project of ABS-CBN Foundation and their program, “Noah,” a television series that teaches people how to love and take care of the environment.
“It’s a joint project with our show ‘Noah,’ and we are so excited na na-tap kami to partner with them, with Ms. Gina Lopez,” he said.
The campaign aims to gather at least 120,000 runners and break the Guinness World Records of largest eco-foot race in the world on Oct. 10, 2010.
In a separate interview, meanwhile, Lopez invited all Filipinos to join the run and save the Pasig river.
“Failure is not an option, we will going to make it happen. I want to invite everyone to walk your talk. If you really want to clean the Pasig River, prove it. Run on 10.10.10,” she said.
